CAN YOU GET OUT AND FACE YOUR FEARS?
It’s so easy to wish for things to happen and to get caught up in the fear of the “what if’s?”. “What if I look silly”, “what if I fail”, “what if I’m not good enough”, “what if I’m not able to do it”.
Weeks turn into months and months turn into years, as we get accustomed to not liking our appearance, we get used to feeling tired all the time, it becomes normal to get ill regularly, have a dead-end job or be perennially single etc.
Our health, body shape, finances, relationships & body image etc, rarely improve by chance. They improve by change. What if you do it? What if you prove to yourself that are worth it? What if you look great? What if they say ‘yes’?
Fear is just stories we tell ourselves and fear lies to us. In our mind fear creates things we don’t want and prevents us from getting things we do. Stop wishing for change and start doing. It takes as much time and energy to wish and dream, as it does to plan and prepare.
Think back to all the great things that have happened in your life, did you get out of your comfort zone to get them? I bet in almost all cases you did. When you make the move out of your comfort zone and try new things, you might be in for a shock and realise your comfort zone wasn’t a happy place to be? It was just familiar. Maybe even your dis-comfort zone?
Of course there’ll be mistakes, there’ll be lots of slip-ups and times when you question why you left your comfort zone. So long as you’re doing your best, when you can, you’ll get there.
Nobody has ever given their best and regretted it, stop thinking you can’t. You can, its just fear stopping you. If fear rules your life, let fear be your motivation.
