This policy explains what personal data Andy Kenny Fitness (“we”, “us”) collects through andykennyfitness.ie, why we use it and the choices you have. We are based in Dublin, Ireland, and we handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.
Who is responsible for your data
Andy Kenny Fitness is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at info@andykennyfitness.ie.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries you send us. If you phone or email us about training, we use your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us (for example your goals or relevant health information) to reply and, if you go ahead, to provide coaching. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing that contract. Where you share health information, we use it only to keep your training safe and appropriate.
- Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and which links are clicked. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and processes information such as your IP address, device and browser details. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or form contents to Google Analytics. Legal basis: consent where required for cookies, otherwise our legitimate interest in improving the site.
- Security and spam prevention. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process technical data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. If comments or forms are submitted, spam-filtering services (Akismet and Antispam Bee) may check the submission. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work without analytics cookies.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and the business, such as our website host, Cloudflare, Google (analytics) and spam-filtering services, and only as needed for the purposes above. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under GDPR such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as needed to respond to you and provide our services, and to meet legal or accounting obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account and then deleted automatically.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email info@andykennyfitness.ie. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Links to other websites
Our articles may link to other websites, including review platforms, social networks and equipment retailers. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the tools we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
